Philly Murder Suspect Arrested For Shooting Spree

Philadelphia Police arrested Jeffery Tabarez of Edmund Street in connection with a mass shooting that happened in North Philadelphia on August 31, 2019. on the 4600 block of N. 4th Street.: On Saturday, August 31st, 2019 at approximately 6:52 A.M., Police responded to the 46XX block of North 4th Street for report of multiple shooting victims. Victim #1– A 25 year old Hispanic Male victim suffered gunshot wounds to the head and chest. He was transported to Temple University Hospital by private vehicle and was pronounced at 7:04 A.M. He was later identified as Felix Moda-Montilla of the 11XX block of Knorr Street. Victim #2– A 31 year old Hispanic male victim suffered gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Temple University Hospital by Police and was pronounced at 9:13 A.M. He was later identified at Jeffrey Otero, unknown residence at this time. Victim #3– A 18 year old black male victim suffered gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Temple University Hospital by Police and currently is listed in critical condition. Victim #4- A 21 year old black male victim suffered gunshot wound to the left leg. He was transported to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children by private vehicle. The investigation is active and on-going with Homicide Division.
Tabarez was arrested after an interview with detectives. He is charged with murder, conspiracy and related charges. he is held without bail.
