Multiple People Hurt in Rhawnhurst Crash

At least three people were sent to area hospitals after a grinding, two vehicle crash at Castor Avenue and Loney Street, yesterday September 17, 2019 during the early part of the afternoon. Police arrived and had to close the northbound lanes of Castor Avenue, to give rescue workers ample room to park their equipment and work. Two medic units were called.
Police said that one of the drivers did not stop at the traffic light. No tickets would be issued that time, but possibly in the future, police on scene said. Family members that arrived were told to go to the hospital. Police were hampered by a serious language barrier. Police said that both drivers and their passengers lived in the area. none of the injuries was considered life threatening, police said. Traffic was diverted for over an hour.
