Two Vehicle Crash Ties Up Traffic At Levittown Intersection

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Ford Road and Veterans Highway just after 3:30 PM September 23, 2019. One person was taken to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The crash happened when a pick-up truck traveling on Veterans Highway towards Middletown attempted a left hand turn in the road.
Police did not say who had the traffic light or if any charges would be filed at press time.
Traffic was tied up for about one-hour before the road was cleared of both vehicles.
Traffic was diverted around the intersection and police had to dodge errant motorists who were not paying attention.
On at least one occasion a motorist drove up to the scene from Ford Road and waited for the two smashed vehicles right in front of him to move out of the way.
