A driver who tried to bypass heavy traffic on Interstate 95  smashed into three other cars  before flipping his vehicle onto it’s roof, State Police said.  The crash happened just after 6:00 PM September 26, 2019  as the driver, identified  as   Bernard Crawley of Drexel Hill got to the Academy Road exit. Police said that his vehicle had a removable sun roof and as the crash happened, his car skidded on the roof before coming to rest. That caused Crawley  to have moderate head injuries.

The drivers of the other vehicles did not sustain any injuries, State Police said.  The investigation is still continuing and it’s is a good possibility that Crawley  will face charges from this crash.  The crash caused a heavy traffic condition on I-95 from just north of Cottman Avenue. Two left lanes were taken out by emergency vehicles .
