Bad Car Registration Stop Leads To Arrest in Penndel
by Alex Lloyd Gross
If you have a suspended license, you are not allowed to drive. If you do it is probably a good idea to get behind of the wheel of a car with current registration that belongs on that vehicle. That, police in Penndel said is what Lindsay Broadwater is alleged to have failed to do, while her license was suspended for DUI. When she pulled over to talk with the officer, he saw in plain view suspected marijuana in a plastic bag.
She was stopped because a license plate reader flagged her vehicle registration as being expired in 2018. She was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and issued traffic tickets for the vehicle violations. This incident happened on January 24, 2020 and was just released to the media today, March 1 2020.
