Male Arrested For Trying To Murder A Pennsylvania State Trooper

On October 20, 2020, at8:19 AM police said that Christopher Edward LaRue, 42, of Lansdale allegedly robbed a QNB bank in Perkasie, Bucks County. He snatched two cash drawers and produced a pistol. He tried to lock the employees in a safe but was unable to do that. He ran away from the scene.
As a State Trooper approached him later to investigate, LaRue is accused of pulling that pistol on the trooper and threatening to kill him. He then pulled the trigger multiple times and the gun did not discharge. He was disarmed and taken into custody. The trooper was not injured. Neither was LaRue.
LaRue was charged with 16 offenses, including attempted murder of the second degree, robbery, persons not to possess a firearm, firearms not to be carried without a license and two counts of aggravated assault. He also faces charges of theft, receiving stolen property, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
