Police: Thief Sets Merchandise On Fire Inside South Philly Store

Retailer stores are hurting with shutdowns and restricted hours. Even big box retailers like Target. They also have to battle the occasional shoplifter. Police and the Fire Marshal’s Office is looking to throw water on this thief’s method of stealing. He will select what he wants to steal, and then set fire to other merchandise inside the store. That is exactly what happened inside the Target store located at 1020 South Broad Street.
No one was hurt, but that could have changed in a heartbeat. While store personnel were distracted by the flames, the thief thought he got away clean. He was caught by security cameras, and someone has to know who he is. Look at the video and make the call to (215) 686-8477. You can see him stuff the merchandise in his jacket. He needs to be caught before he gets someone hurt or killed.
