Arrest Made In Frankford Murder

Philadelphia Police announced that an arrest was made less than 24 hours after a man was killed picking up food in a Chinese Store on the 4800 block of Frankford Avenue. This happened at 8:43 PM April 5, 2022. The male has not been identified, police said.

The alleged shooter has been identified. His name is Jamel Taylor, 30. He is accused of shooting the victim three times in the back and chest, before running away. Police said the shooting was at point blank range.

Taylor is charged with murder, possession of a firearm with an altered manufacturer number, making terroristic threats and other related charges.
