Wires down, trees down and vehicles spun out of control on highways. That is the standard fare after a rain storm coupled with freezing temperatures in the region. The heavy snow we were supposed to get will not materialize. That did not stop smaller roads, parking lots and driveways from experiencing dangerous conditions.
In northeast Philadelphia, a pick up truck veered out of control and hit a street lamp at the Philadelphia Mills( formerly Franklin Mills) Mall. This truck slammed into the light pole and knocked it onto the ground, along with some wires.
Interstate 95 is passable with no major issues, the same is true for the Roosevelt Boulevard. It’s the smaller roads and places impacted by black ice that people should watch out for.
