Nobody likes drug dealers in their neighborhood.. Unsavory characters keep driving by and some have guns. The propensity of a shoot out is high. That is why police take drug dealing in residential communities seriously. The cops were staking out an apartment at Franklin Commons in Bensalem for about five months, building a case.
That concluded yesterday afternoon, with the arrest of Keenan Goodman, of Malvern Ave. in Philadelphia, and Naim Ward, of Oriole Drive in Bensalem. He was apparently dealing drugs from his apartment. That unit was also used for packaging and distribution of drugs, police said. The two were pinched as they were clearing out the apartment, police said
During the course of the investigation, Bensalem Police seized over 2 lbs. of Methamphetamine, heroin, crack cocaine, Xanax pills, a 9 mm handgun and over $1200 in US Currency. The total street value of the seized items exceeds $50,000, Detective Sgt. Glenn Vandegriff said via a news release. Police said they sold drugs in Bucks County and in Philadelphia.
Keenan Goodman was charged with Persons Not to Possess a Firearm, Manufacture, Delivery, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and related charges. He has an arrest record for Burglary, robbery and Disorderly Conduct, out of Delaware County. He was also arrested for drug dealing, 10 years ago out of Montgomery County. Naim Ward was charged with Manufacture, Delivery, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Criminal Use of a Communication Facility and related charges.
Keenan Goodman and Naim Ward were arraigned by District Justice Corryn Kronnagel and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10% of $750,000 bail each.
