Arrest Made In Center City Fatal Hit and Run

Philadelphia Police were outraged when a mother and her children were struck on the 1300 block of Arch Street, just blocks away from city hall. The crash happened on May 9, 2023 at 10:00 PM. police assigned to center city found a jeep traveling the wrong way and in a reckless manner, on Filbert Street. Police were not pursuing the car.
A short while later, officers go a call that that vehicle struck a mother and her children were mowed down by this vehicle, which kept going. With all of the security cameras in the area, police were hoping for a quick arrest. They got that. Dominique Murphy from the 5100 block of Parrish St. He was charged with: Involuntary Manslaughter, Homicide by Vehicle, Aggravated Assault by Vehicle, Accident Involving Death/Injury, Simple Assault, REAP, Reckless Driving, and Careless Driving.
The children are eight,10 and 11 years old.
