27 Year Old Male Shot and Killed In Frankford

Philadelphia Police rushed a 27 year old male to Jefferson Hospital, Torresdale division who was shot multiple times when he exited his vehicle on Brill Street, less than 20 feet from Torresdale Ave.  The shooting happened about 5:30PM Police said.   There have been no arrests. According to Inspector Scott Small, the shooter was last seen in a silver car south on Harbison Avenue.

When pressed for details, Small said that he was not sure if the shooter was a passenger or driver.  “Luckily, this shooting happened in a business area where there are several cameras that face the street. We are in the process of getting in touch with the businesses to see the footage”, Small said. Small also said the victim was the intended target.

 

 

The victim, was admitted in critical condition. According to Inspector Small, at least 25 shots were fired. Some of those shots hit his vehicle. Brill Street was closed and a small portion of Torresdale Avenue was closed to pedestrian traffic at Brill Street,for the crime scene. Police will release more information at a later date.
