Across Bucks County, people have been reporting loud booms during the overnight hours. Last night, in Warrington, two males were arrested for detonating what police say were home made explosives near the area of Wegmans, just off Easton Road. There were no injuries, police said.

Vadim Pokusov

It was just after 3:00 AM when an officer on patrol heard several loud explosions. As he went to investigate, he observed a large plume of smoke about the size of a tree. Off in the distance he saw a vehicle leaving the immediate area of where the smoke plume was. Upon stopping the car, he saw in plain view a bag containing bottle rocket sticks.

Further investigation prove that these were not consumer grade bottle rockets. Also in plain view was a home made explosive, the shape of a soda bottle. The driver, Vladimir Nosatchev was told to exit the car. When he did, another unexploded device, the size of a softball was found. This device had a fuse attached to it and was wrapped tightly in tan paper.

The Philadelphia Bomb Squad was called an they uncovered flash powder in the vehicle as well. Officers walked the shopping center in the area of Wegmans and found several large craters that were fresh. Dogs trained in explosives confirmed that these craters had been recently made and were consistent of explosives going off.

In fact, police recovered string, parts of cardboard tubing and string and tape was consistent with the devices found in the car. Both Nosatchev and Vadim Pokusov were taken to jail under $1,000,000 cash bail.
