Pizza Shop Robber Shot Dead By Clerk In Frankford
When two black males entered George’s Pizza on Oxford Avenue in Frankford, they wanted money, not food. Both were armed with guns, police said. However, so was on of the employees.
He shot one of would be thieves multiple times, while the thieves partner ran from the scene on foot. All of it was caught on security cameras. Police checked local hospitals, in case the second robber was shot and tried to seek medical care on his own. Both the robbery and the clerk exchanged gunfire police said.
Medics came and pronounced the robber dead just after 8:30 PM. None of the other employees to customers were injured and the thief got nothing.
While investigating this incident, police came across another shooting at Darrah and Bridge Street. A male was shot in his leg at that location. No arrests have been made in that shooting, police said.
