Cyclist Attacks Joggers In NE Park With Machete.

Philadelphia Police Inspector Deshawn Beaufort is the head of investigations in Philadelphia. He called a press conference today to bring the public;s attention to several attacks that have happened in Pennypack Park.
There are three attacks and on all three, the male is riding a BLACK bicycle.
The first was on November 23,2023 when he was riding his bike and a jogger attempted to pass him. He called out to let the cyclist know there was a jogger behind him. That is when the male on the bike went berserk, pulled a machete and stabbed the jogger .
On November 24, a man was jogging when he came across the biker who attacked him for no reason.with a machete that was pulled from the bicycle. On November 25, a woman reported that a male on a black bicycle started to yell and scream at her. She saw him try to retrieve something from his bike. She ran before anything happened.
Beaufort said that the attacks happened between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. The male was on a black bicycle. He is described as a Hispanic male between 40-50 years old. Beaufort said that the man could be suffering from a mental illness. The victims were both male and female.
Police said if you intend to go to the park, go with a buddy . If you see someone fitting the males description, get away and call police.
