Escaped Philly Prisoner Found Dead In Warehouse

Escaped prisoner, Gino Hagenkotter was found dead in a warehouse on the 1100 block of East Venango Street. . Police said that on December 11, 2023, they got a call about a deceased male inside the warehouse. Police suspect forced entry into this building, as a ladder was found nearby, and an air vent was broken and a fan had been pushed out.

The male had no ID on him and was transported to the Medical Examiners Office. There, they did a fingerprint records check which identified him as Hagenkotter. At the time of his escape,he was considered a low custody inmate and given work privileges. It was during this work time he walked off, after requesting to use the restroom. on November 30, 2023.

He was scheduled to be transported to Bucks County for warrants, before he escaped. A massive search was underway. Hagenkotter’s family was notified as was the US Marshal’s Service, who were assisting in the search, police said. .
