Police Report A Male Shot In His Car, On Rising Sun Avenue.

On December 29, 2023, Police got a call for a shooting victim on the 2900 block of Frankford Avenue. . They found a male who was beaten up and shot in both legs, and medics rushed him to Temple Hospital. When police interviewed him, they learned that about an hour prior, he was in his parked car somewhere on Rising Sun Avenue.
A black male and female entered his car and displayed a handgun police said. They forced the victim to drive them around for about 15-20 minutes and then parked the car on the 3000 block of Helen Street, where the assault and shooting took place. The victims car keys were stolen.
When police checked for the car on Helen Street, they found it unattended. They stood guard until police tow could tow it away. The shooting victims is in stable condition, police said.
