Shooters Arrested For 2022 Shooting of Nine People On Allegheny Avenue
On November 5 2022 nine people were shot near 8th Street and Allegheny Ave at about 10:42 PM. All were inside different businesses when they were shot . They made their way to a corner bar to seek refuge from the gunshots.
Police found them and eventually, all were taken to Temple University Hospital. Four were critical and five were in stable condition. The individuals responsible for this were not arrested.
Until yesterday, when police investigators were certain that they had the correct individuals. Two suspects were identified. On Thursday, January 11, 2024, Michael Smith-Davis, 25, residing at 2500 North Cleveland Street, was arrested in connection with the nonuple shooting. Michael faces charges including Attempted Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, Aggravated Assault VUFA, and related offenses. An arrest warrant has been issued for the second suspect, who is currently in custody on an unrelated charge. Due to being a juvenile and not formally charged in this investigation, the name of the second suspect is not releasable at this time.
If the juvenile is charged as an adult, police will release his name and mugshot.
