It does not matter if they meant to kill someone or not. It does not matter their ages. Two males were engaged in a disturbance on the Westbound SEPTA 15th Street platform January 11,2024, just before 9:30 PM. What matters is that at last one of the males pulled a handgun and fired it at a group of people. One teenager was shot and he was seriously hurt. He passed away this weekend.

An arrest was made and two males, aged 18 and 16 were taken into custody. Police identified them as Quadir Humphrey, 18, of the 2800 block of N. 8th Street and· Zaire Wilson, 16, of the 1800 block of 67th Avenue. Both were charged with Aggravated Assault and Firearms Violations. Charges will be upgraded within days. police said that witnesses told them Humphrey was the one that allegedly fired the shot.

Police identified the victim as Tyshaun Welles, of the 6100 block of Erdick Street in Philadelphia. He was 16 years old, police said. This comes as the State Attorney General has been tasked with prosecuting all crimes on SEPTA property.
