When you work in a school, you cannot have a sexual relationship with any students. It does not matter if the student is 18. It does not matter that the student initiates the relationship and consents to having sex. Doing so will get you in trouble. Jordan Jones, 29, of Horsham found that out the hard way.

The full time Abington Police Officer was suspended with intent to dismiss, after he was charged with Institutional Sexual Assault, Endangering the Welfare of Children and Corruption of Minors. Police said that he allegedly had a relationship with a 17 year old female student. at Abington High School. The girl stated that the two would meet in his Horsham home and have sex. This started in November 2023. It ended about a week ago when the girl told someone about her affair.

Jones was arrested and released on $50,000 bail by Magisterial District Judge John D. Kessler, who set bail with
conditions of no contact with the victim/her family, no unsupervised contact with minors. Jones is not allowed to return to the school for any reason.
