Shooting In Falls Township Causes Parade To Be Canceled

UPDATE 11:40AM THERE ARE MULTIPLE REPORTS THAT THE SUSPECTS CAR HAS BEEN FOUND UNOCCUPIED IN MERCER COUNTY AT MILLER AND BRUNSWICK. POLICE HELICOPTERS ARE STILL CIRCLING AREAS IN LEVITTOWN AS WELL AS MERCER COUNTY. The suspect has been identified as 26 year old Andre Gordon. Andre Gordon is approximately 6’1″, with a thin build, and was last observed wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. He is believed to be in possession of an assault rifle which he used to commit these crimes. It is believed that Gordon may be in possession of additional weapons. Gordon is extremely dangerous and anyone who sees him or the vehicle is asked to contact 911 immediately. Anyone with information regarding Gordon is asked to contact 911 or (215) 328-8501.

UPDATE 10:30AM. THREE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SHOT AND KILLED AT MULTIPLE LOCATIONS IN FALLS TOWNSHIP. ONE ON VIEWPOINT LANE AND ANOTHER ON EDGEWOOD LANE. THE SHOOTER HAD CARJACKED SOMEONE AT A DOLLAR GENERAL NEAR NEW FALLS ROAD. POLICE HAVE ASKED FOR THE ASSISTANCE OF THE NEW JERSEY STATE POLICE HELICOPTER. THE OXFORD VALLEY MALL HAS ALSO BEEN CLOSED AS A RESULT OF THIS INCIDENT.

As people started to gather along New Falls Road for the St Patricks Day Parade. gunfire erupted inside a house on Eedgewood Lane, which is about two miles from the parade route. as police raced to the scene, the suspect was running away and he was armed.

EMS confirmed the shooting victim to be deceased. A crime scene was established and police officers from Bensalem, and Newtown were spotted on New Falls Road help clear the parade route. This was done as a precaution. At no time was anyone along the parade route in contact with the gunman.

Police were trying to get the male in custody. This story is developing and more information will be provided when it is confirmed.
