Trevose Male Arrested For Montco Murder

Uber records and security camera footage helped police pin down Ken Shea as the person they say is responsible for the murder of his estranged wife, Elizabeth. Police found her dead, lying on the floor of the master bedroom yesterday. She had been cut and stabbed multiple times, police said.

An investigation was started and officers found that Kenneth had allegedly taken a Uber to the street behind his wife’s house on Cromwell Lane, in Springfield, Montgomery County Pa. He then hired the Uber to take him back to Trevose, at the Comfort Inn, in Bensalem.

Location records for Kenneth Shea’s cellphone showed his phone was in the area of the Comfort Inn in the days leading up to the murder and throughout the day on April 10, 2024. At approximately 6 p.m., Bensalem Police S.W.A.T. officers were stationed outside of Room 314 and arrested Kenneth Shea as he exited the room, police said.

A window air conditioning unit had been pushed in. The murder happened at the same time frame as the Uber ride, police said.

Kenneth Shea is charged with First-Degree Murder, Second-Degree Murder and Third-Degree Murder. He was arraigned on April 11, 2024, by Magisterial District Judge John D. Kessler. There is no bail available for First-Degree Murder charges, and he was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. on April 23, 2024,
