Police: Male Wanted For Smash and Grab In Manyunk

The male in the above video is wanted for stealing two high value purses from a boutique which was located on the 4300 block of Main Street. The theft took place on May 10,2024 at 2:15 AM. He walked along the street for several times, passing the store. He decided he had to have the purses . He did not want to wait for the store to open so he could buy them.
Police said he produced a hammer and smashed the glass. He reached in and got them. He had a difficult time breaking the glass . It took multiple hammer swings. Police did not say which direction he fled.
Suspect Description: Black male in his 40’s, salt and pepper full beard, black “Calvin Klein” baseball cap with “CK” on back, dark gray/ black New Balance jacket with “NB” on left chest and writing on left sleeve, light gray sweatpants, light blue Saucony sneakers, gray/black gloves.
