One firefighter was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for smoke inhalation. That firefighter was treated and released, officials said. The original story appears below.

THIS STORY IS BASED OFF PRELIMINARY INFORMATION. IT WILL BE UPDATED AS MORE INFORMATION IS CONFIRMED.

Fire crews from Bensalem, Bristol and Penndel were dispatched to a house trailer on fire just before 5:00 PM today. The fire, reported in the rear of the Top of The Ridge Trailer complex, in the D section. Police got there quick and found a trailer well involved.

Township fire companies were able to get water from a nearby hydrant and were quick to extinguish the bulk of the fire. It did spread to a nearby trailer, causing significant damage to it.

There was no word on injuries or a cause. Heavy, thick acrid smoke was around the entire trailer park, making it hard to see and breathe. Traffic on Gibson Road was backed up in the area due to the smoke. Apparatus placement was a premium for fire crews as the roads were narrow.
