Male Arrested For Three Corner Store Robberies In South Philly

Philadelphia Police announced the arrest of David Iezzi from South Philadelphia and charged him with Robbery, Theft and related offenses. This was after an investigation into an armed robbery at a corner store on the 2800 block of South 16th Street on June 7th, 2024 pointed to Iezzi.

There no injuries reported in any of the robberies,

During that incident, an unknown male suspect, later identified as Iezzi, entered the store around 1:38 pm and brandished a simulated weapon. He stole an undisclosed amount of from the cash register before fleeing the scene on foot.

Further investigation connected Iezzi to two additional corner store robberies in the same area with similar modes of operation and suspect descriptions:

  • June 1, 2024—robbery at 2300 South 12th Street at 6:05 pm. 
  • June 9, 2024—r​obbery at 2200 South 11th Street at 8:45 pm.
