Male Arrested For Robberies In Penndel and Lower Southampton

Christopher Yelverton, no address given, was arrested and charged with at least two armed robberies after police developed him as a suspect after speaking with a prisoner.

This all started on April 25, 2024 when the 7-Eleven on Lincoln Highway in Penndel was held up. The description to police was a black male, with a beard, gloves, sunglasses and gray sweatshirt came in the store. This male displayed a gun and forced the clerk to give him $1200.00 in cash then left, police said.

On May 2, 2024, Lower Southampton Police were investigating another robbery and the suspect wore the same clothes. Police there developed a person of interest. Whey went to the Bucks County Prison and they then spoke with a female who was held on a robbery in July, in Bensalem.

The woman reported that she did have a male with her during robberies throughout the Lower Bucks area and identified the male as Christopher Yelverton. He was arrested on a previous, unrelated robbery and was sitting in Bucks County Prison. police interviewed him there and recently charged him with the Penndel and Lower Southampton crimes.

Yelverton was charged with robbery and related offenses. Police said he was 42 years old.
