Just about everyone that was at the rally for JD Vance at the Newtown Athletic Club earlier Saturday was going to vote for him and vote for Donald Trump for President and Vice President. A crowd of about 1200 people showed up to cheer him on. What Vance wants ( and any politician for that matter) is the undecided voters to show up. .

They can convert them. If they think their policies are that good, they should hope that they show up. They should also hope that supporters for Kamala Harris show up so he can make his pitch to them.

The border was a huge topic that he spoke about. 15000 murderers are now in the United States. “That’s not good, it ties up police resources for other things they could be focusing on,” Vance said. Those murderers are illegal aliens. He laid it on thick that Harris wants them to come here. He sharply criticized her for the way she handled the border crisis.

JD Vance criticized Harris for not talking with the press “And when she does, she talks with a reporter that endorsed her”, Vance said, upsetting the crowd and causing a chorus of Boo’s to resonate. At the end of the rally, Vance had a staffer pass the microphone around to local media to ask questions.

He had no idea of who was going to ask what.

Vance was on stage talking a for about an hour, including the Q&A. The biggest surprise of the day was Alina Habba Trump’s lawyer that made headlines for her zealous defense and constant rebukes from the judge.

She called Kamala Harris’ plan not right for America and talked up Trump /Vance. Habba said she used to reside in this area . Outside of the NAC, there were vendors selling Trump gear. Not everyone got into this event. There were a handful of people that got turned away at the door because they arrived late.

The media turn out was light, which had to do with the Trump campaign denying credentials to some of the media. Many reputable outlets had their credential requests denied, only to have the denial overturned hours before the event. By that time, many had committed their resources elsewhere.
