How To Turn A Summary Dine and Dash Into A Felony In Warrington

by Alex Lloyd Gross

On October 8,2024, Warrington Police said that Amir Garrison-Freguson 30, from Philadelphia was hungry and walked into the Chickie and Pete’s located on the 500 block of Easton Road, in Warrington. He was served his order and then left without paying. When the manager approached him to get him to pay, Freguson is alleged to have assaulted him.

Employees watched him go north on Easton Road when they called police. Freguson saw patrol cars and then fled near the Amazon store. When officers tried to talk with him, he assaulted them and then police said he wrestled with officers in the middle of traffic on Easton Road, until he could be handcuffed.

Since he did not pay for his food, It’s a safe bet he did not have bail money on him either. Fruguson was remanded to the Bucks County Prison under $20,000 bail or 10 percent.

Had he not fought with police, he would have been charged with a summary theft of services. Instead He now has to answer for a felony robbery charge and charges of resisting arrest, fleeing and eluding as well as simple assault.

  1. This ongoing mentality of people robbing, looting, and stealing food….among other violent crimes….
Is it perhaps from people that are just not smart enough to know the circumstances of their actions?
Or are they perhaps illegal immigrants that came over the border and live in desperation?

I’ll speak for many by saying that we’re tired of all this disruption, tired of the losses to us citizens, and demand that this hazard to our quality of life be brought back to a peaceful state by whatever means is needed.
