Police Arrest Husband In Wifes Suspicious Death In Somerton

When police got a call about a missing person in the 9000 block of Diplomat Place, they took a report and filed it with detectives. Lola Karabaeva, had not been seen by her friends in about 24 hours .The last time they heard from her was around 2:30 AM on October 12, 2024, police said. Police got the report on October 13, 2024.
On October 16,2024 detectives arrived back at her residence and searched the property for her. A detective found her body wrapped in plastic in a closet. She appeared to be dead, but police called medics to make a pronouncement.
Ms. Karabaeva’s husband, 65-year-old Vladimir Lushevskiy, was taken into custody and charged with Abuse of a Corpse. Additional charges may be filed depending on the outcome of the investigation, which is now being handled by the Homicide Unit. Police said they do not have a cause of death at this time.
