Cherry Hill Resident Convicted In Bensalem Arson Fire

Ramiz Duka, 61, of Cherry Hill NJ will get to spend some time in a federal prison, after he was convicted in Federal Court, this week of Conspiracy To Commit Arson..
Duka hired to people and paid them $15,000 to set his building on fire, at 1338 Bridgewater Road. On December 10, 2022, the plan was set in motion, prosecutors said. The building sustained severe damage in the range of $6 million. You can read our past coverage here and here.
One firefighter, Nick Altomare sustained serious injuries when a ladder collapsed. He has since recovered. The building was used as a book warehouse.
Duka will be sentenced in the future and faces a minimum of five years in prison and could spend the next 20 years behind bars.
