When the Lear jet crashed in front of the Roosevelt Mall less than two weeks ago, several people were left homeless. Now, with the mall re opened, State Reps Jared Solomon, Sean Dougherty along with car dealer Gary Barbara put together a place where residents can watch the game.

It’s at the Roosevelt Mall, right in front of LA Fitness, a huge screen is set up with a sound system. Space heaters were assembled and food and drink was trucked in. All for free and all for anyone that wants to stop by.

“When this plane crash happened some people went from having everything to having nothing, they had no place to watch the game,” Barbara said. He partnered with Solomon and other state reps and within a few hours, a plan came together to have a pre game gathering.

Hoagies ,soft pretzels and soda and water were donated all donated. For families that may need it, there are bibles . Games like Monopoly and action figures are free to who ever needs one.

The event started at 3:45 PM and by 4:30 PM, word was getting around that this was a place to be, if not for the entire game, then just to stop by and meet people and say hello to the people that made a horrible event better even if it was just for a few hours.
