Uber Driver Arrested For Groping Passengers
Police in Whitpain Twp, Montgomery County PA have arrested and charged 61 yea old Robert Corcoran, of West Chester and charged him with Indecent Assault and Harrasment. This is a result of him allegedly touching a female passenger in his car while he was driving for Uber.
Police said that the incident happened back on February 10,2025. The woman and her male friend hired an Uber and Corcoran was the driver. The male friend was dropped off first. The female was Facetiming someone and when her call was over, Corcoran told her to get into the front seat.
When the call was finished, Corcoran is alleged to have grabbed the woman’s breast . The victim told him to stop and Corcoran started to make lewd comments about her appearance, police said. In the meantime, the woman texted her sister as to what happened.
As Corcoran reached her residence, he followed her to he house , grabbed her and tried to kiss her and give her a hug, which was unwanted, police said.
Police said that female passengers should continue to sit in the back seat and use the alert button or call 911 if they feel unsafe.during a ride from a ride service.
Corcoran turned himself in and was released on $25,000 unsecured bond. He must stay away from the woman and her residence.
