Abington Male Sends Child Porn To Medical Office By Accident

Barry Susmann, of Carmel Avenue had to send a medical form to a health care provider in Abington Twp. He sent them child porn instead. That was back on March 19, 2025. The business promptly called police and an investigation was launched, police said.


Sussmann 75, was visited at his home by detectives who spoke with him., They asked to see his computer and he showed it to them. On it, police said were able to find child sex material. Upon further investigation, Sussmann said to police he was a collector of that kind of material and had been doing it for about 20 years. He had a collection of DVD’s and other media that were seized pending an investigation.


He was a former coach in the Cheltenham School District for several years.Sussmann was charged with multiple offenses to include Felony Sexual Abuse of Children (Possessing child sexual abuse material) and Criminal Use of Communication Facility. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Levine (38-1-28) who set bail at $100,000 (10%). As part of his bail conditions, he was ordered to have no unsupervised contact with minors and no internet usage. Sussmann satisfied this bail and was released.
