Red Reign To Open For LA Guns Here In Less Than A Week

by Alex Lloyd Gross

LA Guns are back and they are gong to play a local show April 30, 2025 at the Ardmore Music Hall. Opening that show will be a band called Red Reign. They are fairly new and most people may be a bit unfamiliar with them. However, according to drummer Sammy Lee, “As every band will tell you, we hope to come in, light up the stage and what we hope to do is showcase our original music .”

They are on a tour promoting the album Don’t Look Back. The record’s title track features George Lynch from Dokken. That came about when Lee was on the phone with someone from the Dokken camp and they were looking for something different for the record. “I kind of took a shot and asked if we could get George Lynch and we did,” said Lee.

“We don’t call ourselves a metal band, we call ourselves an American Rock and Roll Band,” Lee said. “One of the most important track off the album, I think, is a song called “Here I Am”, This was written about depression and what people go through, it is about, please reach out , there is help”, Lee said. It’;s a song they most certainly will be playing during this show.

One thing Red Reign will do is after their set, they will go back to their merch table to meet fans and autograph items. One of the items they will have is their album which is important. If people like the show, they are going to want to hear the songs again. Exposing new fans to their music is one of the most important things a new band can do. Selling CD;s is more important that selling t shirts.

“We did have this album out on vinyl but it sold out,” Lee said. For the show in Ardmore, they will play about 45 minutes. A few tickets are still available.
