Male Shot To Death On Frankford Avenue Over The Weekend

Philadelphia Police are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of an adult male early Saturday morning in the city’s Frankford neighborhood.
At approximately 1:22 a.m., officers from the 15th District responded to reports of a person with a weapon on the 5000 block of Frankford Avenue. Upon arrival, police discovered an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was immediately transported by police to Temple University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced dead at 1:36 AM
Authorities secured the scene shortly after the shooting. As of Saturday morning, no further information about the victim or possible suspects has been released. The investigation is active and ongoing.
