Larry Krasner Declared Winner In PA Primary For District Attorney
by Alex Lloyd Gross
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner is all but assured a new term, his third, as Philadelphia District Attorney. Light turnout helped him secure the win, with at least 40 percent of the vote in, he was winning , ahead of his opponent by at least 20 percent of the vote.
Pat Dugan campaigned hard and heavy, but it was not enough. By 10:00 PM, the count was over 64000 votes for Krasner, to Dugan getting about 40,000. 60 percent of the vote was in. Dugan , before the race was called said he was optimistic but realistic about the final count.

Krasner has said that the city is safer now, with him in office, than it was before his first term. There is no viable Republican candidate , so barring any last minute maneuvering, or an unlikely write in campaign, it looks like Krasner has secured the DA’s office for another four years.
