The weather yesterday was perfect. It was great baseball weather and the Phillies celebrated the start of the end of the season with a celebration and an unveiling of the new logo for the 2026 All Star Game, which will be played in Philadelphia July 14, 2026.

Rather than bore people with endless highlight reels, the Phillies kept them to a minimum. They brought in legacy players from 1976 , Dave Cash, Greg Luzinski and Larry Bowa. Those legends sat next to the next generation of legends. This will be the first All Star Game played at Citizens Bank Park.

The Phillies know that people work for a living and cannot just leave work when they want. That’s why, The Roots played for about 15 minutes, delighting those that were there. Then came the ceremony. Phillies CEO John Middleton got up and talked about the fans for a bit, “You guys are the best fans in the league”. He wants this All Star Game in Philly.

That game is going to bring in millions for the economy and it coincides with the 250th birthday of America. When the reveal of a banner facing the west side of city hall, happened, it was covered by a red tarp. When that was removed, it was time for the participants to board a double decker bus and make stops in the city, places like the Art Museum, before going back to the ballpark.
