BENSALEM, PA — A Bensalem Township man has been sentenced to state prison for sexually assaulting a young girl more than 20 years ago.

Sean R. Greer, 42, was sentenced on July 21, 2025, by Common Pleas Judge Charissa J. Liller to 21 to 44 months in state prison, followed by an additional five years of probation. Greer had pleaded guilty in April to endangering the welfare of a child and indecent assault.

The charges stem from multiple incidents that took place between May and October 2002, when the victim was just 12 years old. According to investigators, the Bensalem Township Police Department received a referral in May 2002 regarding the alleged sexual assault. During an interview, the victim disclosed multiple instances of inappropriate contact by Greer, including one that occurred around Christmas of 2001, when she was 10 years old.

A witness came forward during the investigation and reported seeing Greer in a compromising position with the victim on May 15, 2002.

The case remained unresolved for years until June 2024, when Greer admitted during an interview with the West Orange Police Department in New Jersey that he had molested the girl. That confession was included in a criminal complaint filed in Bucks County.

The case was investigated and relentlessly pursued by Bensalem Township detectives and prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Monica W. Furber of the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.
