Croydon Male Arrested, Brings 11 Year Old To Burglary In Bensalem

When Bensalem Police arrived at an office building on the 3100 block of Tremont Street for a burglary call. When they arrived, they found a door that was forced open on the side of the building. Inside they found James Harkless-Dechellis, 41, Second Avenue, Croydon who was cutting copper wire. They also found wire that had been cut and was packaged to leave the premises as well as tools to cut the wire, they said in court documents.
They also found he brought an 11 year old girl, his girlfriend’s daughter with him to hold a flashlight.Harkless-Dechellis was charged with Burglary, Corruption of Minors, and related offenses. He was arraigned by District Judge Falcone, who set bail at 10% of $150,000. Unable to post bail, the defendant was turned over to constables and transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
There was no dollar amount given for the damage done to the building. It is unlikely that the child will face charges. This was a daytime burglary that happened just before 12:30PM, on May 27, 2026, police said.
