Out Of Control Car Slams Into House In Bensalem

Emergency workers were called to the area of Bensalem Boulevard and Springdale Drive about 4:00PM this afternoon for a report of a car into a house. They found a single car that went across a ballfield and broke through some fencing.
That car then went down a small hill and smashed into the rear of the townhome on Whitney Ct. The vehicle was completely embedded in the house and the driver was briefly trapped. No one in the house was hurt and neighbors said all of the family pets were safe.
There is serious damage to the house and L&I has to determine if the house can be repaired and what can be done to stabilize it.
Police said they are investigating as to why the elderly driver went out of control.
