When Will Area Cracker Barrel Stores Change?

If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. That advice apparently never reached Julie Feliss Masino, who is the CEO of Cracker Barrel, the iconic restaurant that is trending in the news for all the wrong reasons.
They changed their logo and they changed their decor. It was iconic and it featured a man sitting in a chair with the words Old Country Store underneath. They were charming, wholesome and a fun pleasant place to eat.
Some locations changed the menu, they took away roast beef, and now they changed the logo, which should prove to be very expensive. Shareholders are not happy and the company lost more than $100 Million in a single day.
They will lose even more than that. Every sign must be replaced That will cost in the 10’s of millions of dollars. The new signs must be made, and installed. It could take years to complete everything. In addition to that, people have to be hired to re make and remodel the interior .
The Cracker Barrel CEO has said that she supports woke culture and hopes the chain will be even more welcoming to those in the LGBT community. Longtime customers do not care who the people at the next table over are sleeping with as long as it does not involve them and they never had an issue with Cracker Barrel in the past They want a place that looks familiar and when they order food, they want it to taste the way they expect it to taste.
Locally, there is no timetable as to when the new logo and stores will be redone. It is also unknown if the restaurant will have to close in order for this change to take place. There are locations all over the Delaware Valley.
It is quite possible that these changes never happen, if the board tosses Masino from her position or if she on her own decides to scrap the project. In the meantime, the entire company is being roasted on social media.
