Reckless Driver Puts Himself and Passenger In Critical Condition After Somerton Crash
by Alex Lloyd Gross
A young male driver is going to be under arrest if he survives his injuries after he smashed a newer model BMW into a pole at Rennard and Audabon Streets in the far northeast. The crash happened just after 8:00 AM this morning.

Police said the car was occupied by a driver and one passenger. They were traveling on Rennard, going towards Bustleton Avenue, when the driver started to allegedly do spinouts in the intersection . After successfully doing a few he then went back up Rennard and traveled at high speed, where he lost control and slammed into a pole.
The driver and passenger were trapped in the vehicle. One person was unconscious in the hospital, the other was not. Both are critical. The driver was was able to speak told police he was the passenger. Police may use fingerprint and or DNA evidence to determine the driver.

It should be noted that the license plate was moved prior to the vehicle being involved in stunt driving. At the scene police said they did not remove the tag. This could have been done to avoid traffic cameras and license plate readers.
There were no other vehicles involved.
