Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle In Somerton Church Parking Lot

It was just after 1:30 PM today, when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the driveway of the Fellowship Bible Church, located on the 13000 block of Worthington Road. The striking vehicle, a Jeep stayed at the scene and the driver is cooperating with police.
The injuries are said to be serious . The incident happened when the Jeep was being driven out of the parking lot and contact was made with the pedestrian. The church was having a school at the time of the incident and the driver was said to be a student.
The driver did not sustain any injuries. There was no damage visible on the Jeep.
