Male Arrested For Assaulting Postal Worker Over Parking Space In Northeast Philly

On October 4 2025 a 23 year old female was delivering mail on the 4600 block of Horrocks Street when she was approached by Fabian Colon who was upset at where the mail truck was. When the carrier did not move it, Colon started an argument with her. Soon Colon was behind the wheel trying to take the truck, police said.
The carrier quickly removed the key from the vehicle, which caused Colon to start hitting her, police said. The mail carrier was taken to Jefferson Hospital, and Colon was taken into police custody . He faces robbery, theft assault.
The mail carrier did not sustain life threatening injuries. It is possible that Colon may also face federal charges as well.
