A 53-year-old man died early Tuesday morning after his vehicle struck multiple fixed objects in a series of crashes across Northeast Philadelphia, police said.

The incident began around 2:26 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, when the driver of a 2008 Chevy pickup truck crashed into a tree in the westbound lanes of the 4500 block of Castor Avenue. According to preliminary reports, the truck had been traveling eastbound in the westbound lane before striking the tree. The driver then left the scene.

Shortly afterward, the same vehicle hit several parked cars on the 1200 block of Adams Avenue, police said. The driver again fled the scene before the truck eventually came to a stop at Kinsey and Tackawanna Streets.

There, the man exited the vehicle and attempted to walk away but collapsed in the street. Medics responded and transported him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:36 a.m.

Police have not released the victim’s identity or any additional details as the investigation continues.

  1. Hmmm?
2:26 AM?…. and hitting multiple cars and trees?
Must have come from a bar that closed, all boozed up.
Check his blood-alcohol level, he was probably loaded to the gills!
