Police Name Suspect In Death Of Senior Citizen

Coy Thomas, of Ashmead Place has been named as a suspect in the stabbing death of 93 year old Lafayette Dailey. Police found Dailey on the 4500 block of North 16th Street, who had just been pronounced dead by medics, on December 5, 2025
An autopsy revealed that the cause of death a multiple stab wounds. Dailey’s wallet, car keys and vehicle were missing . The car was recovered a few days later. Evidence gleaner from the car and other investigative techniques were enough to name Thomas as a suspect.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Coy Thomas is urged to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or submit an anonymous tip by calling 215-686-TIPS (8477). A reward of $20,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
