Woman Hit By Car In Supermarket Parking Lot

A woman sustained a serious foot and ankle injury after she was struck by a vehicle in the Shoprite parking lot on Pasquellone Blvd in Bensalem The accident happened yesterday, about 11:00 AM, near the front doors of the store. The driver of the car, a Trevose resident was not hurt, police said.

From bystanders, it appeared the pedestrian was exiting the store when she made contact with the passenger front of the car, which was traveling at a normal speed through the parking lot, going towards CVS.

First responders were close by having just finished working a different accident at Richlieu and Galloway, that resulted in two people being taken to area hospitals.

  1. That’s the second Shoprite where someone got hit by a car in the parking lot.
    A couple of months ago an elederly (80+) woman got hit in the parking lot of the Knorr Shoprite in Mayfair.
    She died later on, poor woman.
    I was there just a few hours before that, heck, it could have been me!
    Ya gotta watch out where you’re walking these days…. Common Sense.

    1. knorr shoprite’s parking lot has always been insane, even before it was shop rite. The only thing to do with that location is drive up to the door and have somebody with you standing at the cart and load your groceries in the car and take the exit that’s on North Street and not Frankford Avenue
