by Alex Lloyd Gross
Gary Robb ,41 was employed as an EMT/ Firefighter for the City of Philadelphia. He was fired in December and arrested this month after he was caught stealing cash from Nanette Santilli, who died of natural causes . Robb has been fired from his job.
This started, officials said, when he entered the center city condo and saw Santilli’s body. He went into her purse and is accused of taking money from her wallet. The incident was caught on camera. In fact, Robb is said to have acknowledged the camera when he walked into the condo, officials said. Santilli died from natural causes, officials said.
When confronted by family members, Robb is alleged to have said that it was a victimless crime. The family is very upset and traumatized by this event.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner called Robb’s actions “A breach of the public’s trust”. He is charged with theft and related offenses. If convicted, he faces up to three to six years in prison. The charges are misdemeanors and do not prevent him from getting another job in the public sector. First responders familiar with the incident say that Robb’s actions cast them all with a black eye.
