FBI Raids Two Locations In Bucks County

Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted raids on two different homes about 6:00 PM tonight. One on Clymer Drive in Newtown, the other on Tina Drive in Middletown. Agents were there to find any evidence related to this story..
It was yesterday afternoon when Emir Balat, 18, and Ibrahim Nikk, 19 were detained by NYPD officers in connection to them throwing a possible homemade explosive device during a protest near Gracie Mansion , which is home to New York Mayor Zohron Mamdani. The duo, from Newtown and Middletown were involved in a protest when Ian McGinnis from Philadelphia allegedly attempted to pepper sprayed them. McGinnis was arrested. They tossed what was described by police as a jar , taped up- with nuts, bolts and assorted items inside of it.

Agents in blacked out vehicles took up a surveillance hours before the 6:00 PM raid location on Clymer Drive in Newtown. They were watching to see if anyone entered of left the house before the raid. The raids were carried out simultaneously at 6:00 PM.

An FBI aircraft circled above the Tina Drive residence. Agents had to get search warrants. Then they needed to call in two different raid teams and evidence technicians . Once the raids happened, two people, a male and female were removed from the Clymer Drive residence.
Four people were removed from the Middletown location. The people were not arrested but were questioned and detained by federal authorities. Their immigration status in unknown at this time. Agents are looking for bomb making material and computer searches, including photos and videos.

Due to the high risk of something going wrong, police blocked off the streets in both neighborhoods, until agents determined the homes contained nothing to cause imminent harm. Both Nikk and Balat are being held in custody in New York City, pending what the findings are from the raids. Neither has been officially charged at this point.

A spokesperson for NYPD said that the situation could change rapidly but would not speculate on what, if any charges the two would face. They are said to be local students that went to New York for the protest. Below is a statement from the Neshaminy School District regarding this matter.
