Duo Wanted For Armed Hold Up Of NE Dollar Store For Gift Cards

by Alex Lloyd Gross

Philadelphia Police said that two unknown black males walked into the Dollar General located at 7941 Oxford Ave on April 11, 2026. They walked up to the register and then selected two gift cards, police said. They then demanded that the clerk put $500.00 on one card and $1000.00 on the other.

When the clerk was having trouble, they told the clerk that they were armed with a gun and to use the cash option on the register. They then got into a white car that was illegally parked next to a fire hydrant and drove aware in an unknown direction.

Police said they did not take any money from the register. They duo started to get nervous when a line formed behind them. This store has excellent, eye level cameras and caught great views of their faces. They walked right by them. Covert cameras installed on door jams are a great way to get footage of suspected shoplifters and criminals.
